Our Brigade is actively involved in our local community.

We host many community groups at our station including schools, kindergartens, playcentre and pre-schools as well as Scouts and Cubs.

We also run the NZFS Firewise course where we travel to local schools to teach children about fire safety. This is a fun and informative session for children generally in the first three years of their schooling.

It’s important to note that we’re also happy to assist our community with other Fire-related jobs such as fire alarm installation and advice on fire regulations and keeping your property safe.

We also take part in fundraising events for our community.

These include the ‘Funrazor’ for child cancer research and the annual Firefighter SkyTower challenge for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand.

If your group would like to visit the station please feel free to contact us.
